Time Expressions: kota baje, shokale, bikele
Kota baje? (What time?) — baje means “o’clock.” Eta baje (one o’clock), dui baje (two o’clock). Time-of-day: shokale (in the morning), dupure (in the afternoon), bikele (in the afternoon/evening), shondhay (in the evening), raate (at night).
Hours and Minutes: ghonta, minute
Dosh ta ghonta (ten hours). Tin minute (three minutes). Dosh ta baje tin minute (10:03). Adha (half): Dosh ta baje adha (10:30). Poa (quarter): Dosh ta baje poa (10:15).
